hi

for some reason the giftab capitalizes the image file in the directory but when it is not... it works on the desktop but when you ftp to the web site the browser or something is case sensitive doesn't read the images

got any suggestions be well geo

Oops, this is my mistake. I want to have filenames in our Codepage WIN-1250 and this modificaton has produced this bug.

hi Branislav

well i figured it out and you might want to be a little more clear by having people open the GIFTAB0.HTM and look at the bottom to understand what the potential options are... this is a great way to handle the formating.....

so here are some questions..

first <GIFTAB BORDER=0 NOSIZE NODATE NOTIME > still showed the size in the large image after file name ...you might want to look into that or maybe it is just the one that i tested...
also what about sometimes i don't want to see the words filename and even the name of the file too and the top also would be a nice option to exclude sometimes...

also what other things and keywords do you have that can be manipulated... i like to change the height width number of images on a row too.... lets see what else

that is great that you can actually create a template for all the web pages using the GIFTAB0.HTM if one design it right... you might want to have some demos on your web site of what can be done...

so here is one... since it takes so long to load the thumbnail as an original size image what if you automatically created a software program that created the thumbnails ... i know this is another software program but it is a nice idea to be able to batch the thumbnail process too...

what about loading in small size thumbnails and have them link to the larger images...
for example...all original images where abcd.jpg abce.jpg and the tumbnails added a capital X - abcdX.jpg abceX.jpg now this may not make sense but i am trying to get around the time consuming loading of image files and having them be cached not loading all the images into memory for one.. that would really make this work really like a dream for me...

by the way i have tested it out with both netscape my prefered browser by the way and ie40 and 40 allows you to go to the larger images without waiting for a majority to cache ... is there anyway to get around this for netscape

well i am very pleased you saved me a lot of time and brain energy with your new upgrades and hope you keep it up...

be well and keep it up geo

hi Branislav

i hope not i look forward to new developments and who knows what... just started playing around and reading about FORCE in your info page... sounds interesting being a very bad deconstructionist kinda half assed non-programmer...

my problem is that i want to know everything about what i am working on but don't have the time or the mind to dedicate my life to programming... i am an inventor and recovering artist and more interested in what things can do and how they do it not necessarily in manufacturing them but modifying things to fit my dreams.. so i hop this isn't the end but the beginning...

now i am trying to decifer your instructions by the way... not sure i understand everything but have to go through it step by step too... you might also want to think about a step by step demo on your web site to show the different options using screen images of what to do first and the steps needed and their options too...

but one thing it would be nice to have the option of not loading all the images into memory for one.. well will let this email fly for now and work more on the learning what i need to do to make this latest gift- tab work ...

thanks and be well geo
